Volunteer Gives His Time and Talent to SJH

Roy Metcalfe routinely comes in to pass communion to patients of Saint Joseph Hospital, sharing fellowship and friendship.  But there’s more to Roy than meets the eye.  Roy is an accomplished woodworker, and we’re not just talking about whittling.  Recently Roy was asked if he could make pedestals for statues in the chapel at Saint Joseph.  He readily agreed; and using a picture from a religious goods catalogue provided two pedestals for the chapel.  Roy spent 75 hours on this labor of love.  We encourage you to stop in to the Saint Joseph Hospital Chapel to see these beautiful works of art.
